Activities at Magnolia Estates

At Magnolia Estates we offer many activities that our seniors enjoy. Being active is great for improved health and mental stimulation.

Magnolia Estates provides Activities such as:


Exercise Classes

-Exercise class is held once a week on Thursday at 9:30 AM, provided by Silver Sneakers. They utilize music, balls, and aerobic bands. Mainly doing sitting exercises to accommodate everyone.

Recreational Outings

-We do 54& More once a month on the first Tuesday. We leave at 11:45 AM and make a short drive over to the Methodist Church where there is a speaker or some other form of entertainment. Lunch is provided as well.

Worship Services

-Every Sunday morning at 9 AM we have Sunday School, and the first Sunday of every month we also have Communion at 10 AM. We also have devotions 2-3 days each week, provided by different church communities.

Transportation to and from events

-We provide transportation to and from local doctor appointments as needed by the family, as well as other errands or scheduled outings.

Popcorn and a Movie

Weekly Bingo

-We have Bingo three times per week-Monday at 3 PM, Wednesday at 3PM, and Saturday at 2 PM. Wednesday at 3 PM is provided by the Atrium Bible Study Group.

Arts & Crafts

-We will do some form of arts and craft for most holidays. Whether it is craving pumpkins, dying Easter eggs, making Christmas bells, etc.

 Group Games

-Once a month we have Penny Auction. The residents will bid on items that they like with pennies, and whoever bids the highest price will win that item. Each resident is provided with 50 pennies for bidding.

Music Therapy

-We have different music groups who come in and perform and engage the residents a couple of times each month.

Meet and Greet Monthly Socials

-Every month we have a Birthday social where we provide cake and ice cream  and celebrate the birthday's for that entire month.

-Once a week on Friday, we have a "dessert social" (cookies, pies, cake, etc.) where the residents gather together in the front dining room to talk and enjoy their treat.

-Also, at least once a month we have resident prayer time, where the residents come together for prayer.

Beauty Shop Day

-Beauty Shop days are every Tuesday and Wednesday-we have Carolyn, the beautician who comes on Tuesday, and Jean, the beautician who comes on Wednesday. The residents can go in the Beauty Shop and have the full treatment of any outside beauty salon or barber shop.

Monthly Resident Council Meetings

-The residents come together to talk about any praises, concerns, or complaints that they have, and then will present those to the office.
