Taking care of an ill or aging family member is both rewarding and emotionally and physically demanding. Respite care offers caregivers the opportunity to 'take a break' by providing up to 6 weeks of care for the ill or aging family member. What does that look like?
Your family member will come stay in our assisted living facility where they have a choice between a room - private room & bathroom - or a suite - private room, bathroom, sitting area & kitchenette.
We do require that our guests be able to self-feed, be able stand and pivot with assistance, and not be prone to wandering. A physician's report and T.B. test is also required.
All of our caregivers are certified by the state and are CNAs. All guests will be equipped with a pendant call system to request help as needed.
We can work with home health agencies to bring in physical therapist and other medical professionals as needed.

Who can benefit from respite care?
Full-time Family Caregivers - Caregivers spend an average of 20 hours a week caring for a loved one and are under a lot of stress. That stress leads to poor health, physically and emotionally. It is important for caregivers to take time to care for themselves. Respite care gives them a chance to do that.
Individuals Recovering From Injuries - Older individuals who are injured often need more care while recovering. Respite care offers them the care they need while recovering to be able to focus on making a full recovery.
